Desert Blues
Ceci brought a striking vision of nomadic luxury to Fashion Scout, presenting a collection inspired by the Tuareg tribes of the Sahara. Titled “Stateless Vagabonds,” the collection explored ideas of movement, freedom and identity through a wardrobe of rich colour, oversized silhouettes and contrasting textures. The result was a collection that felt simultaneously rugged and luxurious, combining distressed denim and sturdy boots with velvet, faux fur and beautifully treated fabrics.
Inspired by the Sahara
The Tuareg influence was most immediately visible through the collection’s colour palette. Deep blue became its signature shade, surrounded by charcoal, grey, black and rich burgundy. Rather than using colour simply as decoration, Ceci used it to create an atmosphere. The blues suggested the desert sky and traditional Tuareg dress, while the darker tones brought depth and a distinctly winter character to the collection.
Volume and Movement
Oversized proportions gave the collection a strong sense of movement. Large coats wrapped around the body, creating generous silhouettes that felt protective without appearing heavy. The volume also reinforced the idea of the traveller: clothing designed to layer, move and adapt. Rather than tightly defining the figure, many of the garments allowed the body to disappear into their shape.
Luxury Meets Distressed Denim
One of the most effective contrasts within the collection was the combination of luxurious materials with informal, distressed fabrics. An oversized coat combining distressed denim with blue faux fur brought together two very different worlds. The worn quality of denim suggested travel and utility, while the soft fur introduced a sense of indulgence. This meeting of opposites became central to Ceci’s visual language.
Velvet and Devoré
Texture played an equally important role. Velvet devoré appeared across the collection, adding transparency and pattern to otherwise dramatic silhouettes. Wide-leg velvet trousers brought fluidity to the lower half of the body, while devoré dresses created a more delicate counterpoint to the heavier coats and outerwear. The fabrics allowed the collection to move between softness and strength without losing its sense of cohesion.
The Statement Coat
Outerwear became one of the defining features of the collection. Oversized coats provided the foundation for many of the looks, with exaggerated proportions and distinctive collars creating strong silhouettes. Faux-fur detailing softened the larger shapes, while distressed surfaces prevented the coats from becoming overly polished. The effect was luxurious but deliberately unconventional.
From Day to Night
Despite its strong visual concept, the collection retained a sense of wearability. The dramatic coats and showpieces were balanced by trousers, dresses and layered separates that could move easily between different settings. A pair of wide-leg velvet trousers could feel elegant and relaxed at the same time, while a dark devoré dress offered a more sophisticated interpretation of the collection’s nomadic aesthetic.
Boots, Texture and Attitude
Styling reinforced the collection’s adventurous character. Sturdy boots grounded the more luxurious pieces, creating a practical foundation beneath flowing fabrics, oversized coats and faux-fur details. The contrast was important: Ceci’s woman was not presented as fragile or overly polished. She appeared confident, independent and ready to move.
CARRO Studio Behind the Lens
CARRO Studio’s photography captures the collection through its dramatic silhouettes, rich textures and distinctive colour palette. The catwalk images preserve the movement of the oversized coats and wide-leg trousers, while bringing attention to the details that make the collection particularly tactile: faux fur, velvet, devoré surfaces, distressed denim and layered fabrics. Through the lens, Ceci’s vision becomes a study in texture and proportion, with each look revealing another interpretation of the travelling spirit at the heart of the collection. Ceci’s “Stateless Vagabonds” collection transformed cultural inspiration into a contemporary wardrobe built around movement, texture and individuality. With its deep blues, oversized coats, luxurious velvet, distressed denim and dramatic faux-fur details, the collection found beauty in the space between rugged and refined. Captured by CARRO Studio, the photographs preserve that distinctive balance, a collection where the spirit of the traveller becomes an expression of modern fashion.
