Tropical Glamour

Ana Torres brought colour, movement and unmistakable Latin character to Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week with a collection inspired by the energy and atmosphere of Havana. Rather than concentrating solely on traditional bridalwear, the collection placed strong emphasis on ceremony and occasion dressing, creating a vibrant wardrobe filled with colour, print, fluid silhouettes and feminine detail. Lemon yellow, turquoise, peach and strawberry red gave the collection its distinctive palette, while floral jacquards, lightweight fabrics and softly revealing silhouettes created a sense of movement and effortless glamour.

A Celebration of Colour

Colour was the immediate signature of the collection. Bright lemon yellow appeared alongside turquoise, peach and vivid strawberry tones, creating combinations that felt warm, optimistic and full of personality. The palette reflected the inspiration behind the collection, the intense colours and exuberant atmosphere associated with Havana and its Malecón. Instead of treating colour as an accent, Ana Torres made it central to the identity of the clothes. The effect was particularly striking in the more tailored pieces, where vivid colour was combined with floral jacquard to create a sophisticated interpretation of tropical glamour.

Feminine Sillhouettes

The collection moved through a wide variety of silhouettes, from sharply constructed two-piece looks to lightweight dresses that followed the body with an effortless sense of movement. Crop tops were paired with short skirts, midi trousers appeared with flowing tops, while jumpsuits offered a more contemporary approach to occasion dressing. Backless dresses and subtle transparencies added sensuality without overwhelming the clothes. The silhouettes remained distinctly feminine, drawing attention to the waist, shoulders and back while allowing the fabrics to move freely around the body.

Floral Jacquards and Light Fabrics

Texture played an important role alongside the colour. Floral jacquards brought structure and pattern to the more tailored looks, contrasting with lighter, fluid fabrics used for dresses and tops. The combination created an interesting balance between structure and softness. A floral jacquard suit could feel polished and architectural, while a lightweight dress introduced a completely different sense of movement. This contrast allowed the collection to move naturally between sophisticated tailoring and relaxed evening glamour.

Inspired Glamour

The collection’s Cuban inspiration was not limited to colour. It informed the overall attitude of the presentation, creating an image of a woman who was confident, expressive and comfortable being noticed. The styling reinforced that sense of personality. Turban-inspired headpieces and large floral appliqués became important accessories, while some looks were accompanied by playful Havana references that added theatricality to the presentation. There was a sense of celebration throughout; fashion intended not simply for the ceremony itself, but for the occasion surrounding it.

CARRO Studio Behind the Lens

For CARRO Studio, photographing Ana Torres meant capturing the energy of the collection as well as its individual garments. The photography focuses on the relationship between colour, silhouette and movement, allowing the character of each look to come through. The images preserve the details that define the collection — the floral surfaces, vivid colours, elegant tailoring and flowing fabrics, while also capturing the confidence and personality of the models wearing them. It is this combination of clothing and character that gives the photographs their sense of occasion. Ana Torres created a collection where colour, movement and femininity came together with a distinctly Spanish sense of craftsmanship. The influence of Havana provided the inspiration, but the clothes remained rooted in the designer’s approach to elegant ceremony and occasionwear. From vivid yellow and turquoise to floral jacquards, crop-top combinations, flowing dresses and dramatic back details, the collection offered a fresh interpretation of glamour. Through CARRO Studio’s lens, that energy becomes part of the story, a celebration of colour, fashion and the confident woman at the centre of Ana Torres’s designs.
